Bertha Marie “Bert” Zink, 87, of Wapakoneta, formerly of Delphos, passed away peacefully at 8:25 a.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta.
She was born in Delphos on February 13, 1930 to Leon & Bessie (Fair) Talboom who preceded her in death.
On October 13, 1984 she married Bob Zink and he survives in Wapakoneta.
She is also survived by two daughters, Rojean (James) Kollsmith of Ft. Jennings, Julia (George) Truesdale of Spring City, TN; a son, Kevin (Kim) Ralston of Ft. Jennings; step-children, Dale Zink of Jefferson Hills, PA, Kelly (Tom) Ernst of Cridersville, Dan “Duke” (Heather) Zink of Gold Hill, NC; a sister, Audra Ann (Tony) Bowers of Lima; a brother, Edward (Sandy) Talboom of Delphos; two brothers-in-law, Don Zink, Mike (Karla) Zink; two sisters-in-law, Karen Gillette, Sharon (Brad) Smith; three grandchildren, Aaron Kollsmith of Dayton, TN, Christopher Kollsmith of Delphos, Gwyn Daley of Englewood; step-grandchildren, Kirstie Ernst of Columbus, Jeremy Zink of Cleveland, OH, Ashley Zink of Jefferson Hill, PA; two great-grandsons; one great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Wegesin, Rosemary (Paul) Fry; a brother, John (Betty) Talboom; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Bassett, Dixie Zink; a granddaughter, Jillian Kollsmith; and a great-grandson, Connor Zink.
Bert worked for many years for the G.C. Murphy Co. and then Lehmann’s Furniture in Delphos. She enjoyed cooking, painting, music and reading. She loved to go to flea markets and tractor shows with her husband as well as spending time with her family.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Uniopolis.
