Charles D. Meier

Charles D. “Charlie” Meier, 67, passed away at 12:40 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his residence in Wapakoneta.  On December 14, 1974, he married Susan M. Keysor, who survives.

Survivors also include his two children, Mindy (Jeremy) Boday and Don Meier, both of Wapakoneta; six grandchildren, Cheyenne (John), Ethan, Aisleen, Kelsey, Tyra, and Parker; two great-grandchildren, Nova and Evie; two sisters, Linda (Dick) Kinninger, of Greenville and Karen (Woodrow) Searfoss, of Lakeview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

For 46 years, Charlie worked for National Lime & Stone, Lima, as an expert front-end loader operator.  While not on the job, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching their sports activities or 4-H shows.  Charlie also enjoyed going to car races with his cousins.  Whenever he was home, you could bet that Fox News was on the tv.  A trait he got from his mom, Charlie loved keeping up with what was going on in the world.  At the end of the day, relaxing with friends and family was Charlie’s favorite way to spend his time.  He will also be sorely missed by his canine napping buddy, Dozer.

A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Schlosser Funeral Home, with Pastor Pam Spencer officiating.  Immediately following the service, friends may call until 6:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Condolences may be expressed at www.schlosserfuneralhome.com.
