Janet E. Copeland

Janet E. Copeland, 76, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 9:00 a.m. Friday April 13, 2018 at Auglaize Acres.

She was born on April 18, 1941 in Lima, OH to Glenn C. & Ethel (Dudgeon) Hittepole who preceded her in death.  On August 26, 1961 she married E. Lyle Copeland and he passed away on December 9, 1996.

She is survived by three children, Duane (Terri) Copeland, Dan (Cindy) Copeland, Deanna (Greg) Walker all of Wapakoneta; 7 grandchildren, Danielle (Shane) Mobley, Amy (Ryan) Cox, Jessie (Cassidy) Motter, Katie and Courtney Copeland, Emma and Justin Walker; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Garry (Becky) Hittepole of St. Marys; two sisters, Marilyn (Jimmy) Brackney of Russells Point and Nancy Myers of Wapakoneta, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Hundley, Evelyn Hittepole and a brother Larry Hittepole.

A homemaker, Janet enjoyed making Sunday dinners for her family, hosting Holidays at her house, and spending time in the company of family and friends. 

Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moulton, with Rev. Mark Bauer officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at church.  Burial will be at a later date at Resthaven Cemetery, Moulton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize County Crippled

Children and Adult’s or to Trinity Lutheran Church.
