Anna Rebecca Eisert, of Wapakoneta, gained her angel wings and soared to Heaven in the late evening hours of November 3, 2016 at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus. Although her time here on Earth was all too short, she was the cherished daughter of Craig Allen & Erin Rebecca (Blanchard) Eisert Jr., for 1 year, 11 months, and 15 days. She was born on November 18, 2014, in Lima, Ohio.
Survivors also include her paternal grandparents, Craig & Christina Eisert Sr. and Robin Eisert, all of Wapakoneta; maternal grandparents, John & Catherine Blanchard, of Botkins; paternal great-grandparents, James & Barbara Eisert and Linda Stolzenburg, all of Wapakoneta; maternal great-grandmother, Carol "Ditto" Malz, of Aurora; four aunts & uncles, Alex Edson, of Wapakoneta, Sara & Joseph Lammers, of New Knoxville, Katie & Ernesto Casillas, of Botkins, and John L. & Jennifer Blanchard, of New Bremen; ten cousins, Olivia, William, Elizabeth, Samuel, Nicholas, Johnny, Josephine, Johanna, Jacob, and Andrew; and her beloved canine companion, LuLu.
Anna's brief time here was filled with love and light, even through her fight with Neuroblastoma. She could only be described as ornery and sassy, a true Daddy's Girl. Handling her treatments with a grace and determination well beyond her age, she was a source of inspiration.
If the weather was nice, she loved to be outside. Taking golf cart rides with her grandparents was a special treat. Anna enjoyed swinging and doodling with sidewalk chalk, or splashing in the pool when she was able. She loved bath time too, and drawing on papers, or occasionally the fridge. Her favorite playmates were her cousins and she was an exceptional momma to her doll, "Baby". Anna loved eating Padrone's cheese stuffed breadsticks. They were her comfort food, when nothing else sounded good.
She was drawn to anything with a musical beat. While Anna was open to all genres, she was just starting to sing along to soundtrack of her favorite movie, Tangled. Although Anna's time with us here is done, we take comfort in believing she is flying free in Heaven. As Rapunzel sings, "For like the first time ever, I'm completely free! I could go running and racing and dancing and chasing and leaping and bounding. Hair flying, heart pounding and splashing and reeling and finally feeling, now's when my life begins!"
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Kettlersville, with Rev. Ed Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 4:00 a
