Anne E. Johnston, 74, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 5:23 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Vancrest of St. Marys. She was born on May 29, 1950 in Lima, to Paul E. and Shirley A. (Glick) Reineke who have preceded her in death. On May 19, 1984, she married Randall D. Johnston, who survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors also include her daughter, Mandy E. Parsons of Sidney; a grandson, Gavin (Danielle Raleigh) Bailey; sister, Paula S. (John) Anderson of Wapakoneta; two sister-in-laws, Kathy Reineke, Deborah Chambers; brother-in-law, Michael (Nancy) Johnston; step-sister, Libby (George) Hostetler; step-brother, Michael (Victoria Maisch) Rumer; six nephews and nieces, Cody (Kara) Sharp, Jennifer (Brian) Anderson Schulte, Jamison Anderson, Alec Johnston, Sam Johnston, Lillie Johnston; three great-nephews, Harrison M. Anderson, Tyler Sharp, Jacob Sharp; a great-niece, Katelyn (Sharp) Ackerman; and two great-great-nephews, Caden Sharp & James Ackerman.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven P. Reineke and Bruce E. Reineke; her step-mother, Shirley M. (Caughman) Rumer Reineke, and her nephew, Scott M. Anderson.

A 1968 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Anne worked as a legal secretary for Weger Jauret Herman Law Offices, Wapakoneta. She was also the office administrator for St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg and St. Patrick Catholic Church, Glynwood. As a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Anne loved brightening another's day by calling those on the sick list. Anne enjoyed going shopping and was endlessly chatting with her friends. She loved taking care of her grandson when he was young. She was a lover of people and knew no strangers, she would try to brighten anyone's day. Anne would help her daughter raise orphaned animals and pets , she loved all animals and photographing nature.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize County Humane Society.
