Barbara M. Alter

Barbara M. Alter, 87, of Wapakoneta, passed away at  4:39 AM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Wapak Manor.
She was born on October 22, 1933 in Detroit, MI to James and Edith (Rice) Head who preceded her in death.
Survivors include 4 children Ralph (Shelley) Alter of Carmel, IN, Jeffray (Patti) Alter of Fulshar, TX, Shannan (Jerry) Fisher of Wapakoneta, Scott (Cathay) Alter of San Antonio, TX; a son-in-law Bob Quinn of Wapakoneta; 8 grandchildren Jamie (Michael) Stephens of Columbus, Erin (Justin) Stevens of Indianapolis, IN, R. Jay Quinn of Wapakoneta, Brittany Alter of San Antonio, TX, Brianna (Connar) O'Gorman of Gold Coast, Queensland Australia, Aiden Alter of San Antonio, TX, Max Alter of Carmel, IN, Jack Alter of Carmel, IN; 3 great-grandchildren Reilly Quinn, Reagan Quinn both of Botkins, Poppy Stephens of Columbus.
Barbara was preceded in death by daughter Sherry Quinn.
Barb loved to play Euchre and Cribbage.  She loved her companion Annie.  She was an avid Wolverine and Red Wings fans.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Per her wishes there will be a memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Auglaize County Humane Society.
