David L. Sprague, 75, of Elida, passed away at 3:25 a.m., Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center.
He was born on February 1, 1950 in Lima, OH to Herbert and Edith (Johnson) Sprague who preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Shane (Stephanie Harshfield) Sprague, of Alger; 4 grandchildren Anthony Custer, Shawn (Cory) Sprague, Skylar Sprague, Shayla (Blake Jones) Sprague; a step-granddaughter Kaylynn Harshfield; several great-grandchildren; a sister Barbara Fisher; 3 nieces Cindy (Jason) Reynolds, Susan Cartagena, Stephanie (Mike) Watkins.
He was preceded in death a daughter Stacie Sprague.
David was a graduate of Bath High School and then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his Harley Davidson. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles, American Legion and AmVets all of Lima.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2025 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites being performed by the V.F.W. Post 8445.
