Emerson E. Recob

Emerson E. Recob, 88, of Wapakoneta passed away on June 16, 2026 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Hospice Care Unit.

He was born on January 12, 1938 in Columbus, OH to Charles & Mary Louise (Pratt) Recob who preceded him in death. On June 26, 1959 he married Marlene E. Montague and she survives after 67 years of marriage.

Survivors include 3 children; Dr. Holly Recob & Andy Mabery of Mt. Victory, OH, Mark (Sandy) Recob of Bigfork, MN, John (Robin) Recob of Cincinnati; 2 grandchildren Jenna and Jake Recob of Cincinnati and a brother Paul Recob.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister Buddy, Bruce, Mike, Don and Penny.

Emerson owned and operated Lima Fire Equipment and later Advantage Dry Cleaner's. Emerson loved his family dearly. He enjoyed years of boating and fishing on Lake Erie. He also enjoyed playing tennis, traveling, trap and skeet shooting, swimming and was an avid reader. He was a former member of the YMCA and the Lima Exchange Club.

There will be no services according to his wishes. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
