Helen L. Kohler

Helen L. (Dick) Kohler, 81, of Wapakoneta, went to meet her Lord and Savior at 12:41 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

She was born on January 26, 1945 in Lima, OH to Harold & Anna (Taylor) Dick who preceded her in death. On February 8, 1964, she married Fredrick L. "Fritz" Kohler, who passed away on September 24, 2020.

She is survived by two precious daughters, Mary Lou (Joel) Hume and Christine (Dwayne) Davis, both of Wapakoneta; four grandchildren, Morgan (Nathan) Kuhlwein of Columbus, Andrew (Keshia) Hume, Amy (Nate) Hager and Zach Davis, all of Wapakoneta; seven great-grandchildren, Layla and Emmy Kuhlwein, Sofia, Harper and Gatlin Hume, Nora and Frederick Hager; sisters Mary Joe Martin of Florida, Barb Gibbs of Cridersville; a sister-in-law Martha Dick of Lima and various nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Harold, Robert & David; a sister Carol Lee and sister-in-law Jean Dick.

Helen loved being a help mate to her husband on the farm, raising their children, watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow, gardening, quilting and serving the Lord Jesus Christ.

Private family graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Fox officiating.
