Helen G. Larger

Helen G. Larger, 93, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 12:10 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen.

She was born on April 7, 1931 in Russia to John & Bernadette (Groff) Dapore who preceded her in death. On October 2, 1954 she married Carl E. Larger and he passed away on June 25, 2014.

Survivors include 5 children Kenneth (Patsy) Larger of Dandridge, TN, Judy Larger of Jefferson City, TN, Carla Weeks of Salt Lake City, UT, Theresa (Tim) Brookman of New Knoxville and Ron (Stacey) Larger of Oviedo, FL; 7 grandchildren Stephanie (Adam) Gross, Dan (Rachel) Brookman, Melanie Weeks, Mary (Levi) Robinson, Christina (JP) Narea, Katie Larger, Bethany Larger; 8 great-grandchildren Aubrey, Nolan, Rylan Gross, Maddy and Jameson Brookman, Emmaline and Wyatt Robinson, Adriel Selvy; 2 sisters-in-law Mildred Dapore, Eileen Dapore and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by 4 brothers and a sister Adrian Dapore, Bob (Pauline) Dapore, Carl Dapore, Art Dapore, Margaret (Don) Geise.

Helen was 1950 graduate of Russia High School. She worked alongside her husband on their family farm and especially loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and traveling. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a very active participant of the Adoration Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
