Janet L. Case

Janet L. Case, 78, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 1:45 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family following a brief illness.

She was born on February 11, 1947 in Lima, OH to Robert and Marcine (Stelzer) Dicus who preceded her in death. On October 17, 1965 she married Gary D. Case and he survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors include 3 daughters Rhonda (Brian) Miller of Clyde, OH, Nancy (Paul) Bush of Wapakoneta, Erica (Justin) Hendricks of St. Marys; 5 grandchildren Sarah, Brenna, Michael, Brandon, Natalie; 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way; 2 sisters Joy (Fred) Forst, Connie (Dave) Krites; 2 brothers Jerry (Joy) Dicus, Dale (Becky) Dicus; a brother-in-law Steve (Connie) Case and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant grandson and a sister Carol (Jim) Sutton.

Janet was a 1965 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School. She was a very active member at Shawnee Alliance Church where she organized many funeral luncheons and was involved in the Notions sewing group. She liked gardening, traveling, camping and participating in pre-1800's historical rendezvous. Janet enjoyed the classes and fellowship with the members of the water exercise group known as The Mermaids at the YMCA. Her desire to serve was evident through the time she donated to WGTN radio station and missionary work during times of disaster.

Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Shawnee Alliance Church 4455 Shawnee Rd., Cridersville, OH 45806 with Pastor Daniel Messner officiating. Family and friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at church. Private family graveside services will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials may be directed to Grand Lake Hospice or to WTGN Radio.
