Jeffrey "Jeff" Bartlett, 70, of Wapakoneta, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 2:02 p.m. surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with years of health challenges at Ross Heart Hospital, Columbus. He was born on February 7, 1956 in Vanwert, OH to Kenneth Bartlett & Jean (McLaughlin) Nieter who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Bartlett, whom he married in 1978; their children, Dirk (Annie) Bartlett, Emily (Rob) Beres, and Gabe (Holly Uhlenhake) Bartlett; and their cherished grandchildren, Siena and Hunter Bartlett, Hugo and Oscar Beres, and Dylan, Sylas, and Amelia Uhlenhake.
Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, craftsman, and friend whose quiet strength, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family touched all who knew him.
Jeff spent much of his career as a skilled carpenter and later worked as a millwright at Ford Motor Company, Lima. He took great pride in building, repairing, and creating things designed to last.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoyed gardening, crafting beautiful stained-glass artwork, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he treasured time with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Jeff will be remembered for his kindness, determination, creativity, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on through the lessons he shared, the things he built, the art he created, and the many memories he leaves behind.
A celebration of Jeff's life will begin at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Tom Bomeli officiating. Family and friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
The family asks that those who knew Jeff honor his memory by spending time with loved ones, enjoying the outdoors, or creating something meaningful with their own hands. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
