Jeffrey L. "Jeff" Walters, 60, of Lima passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday October 19, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born in Lima, OH on December 6, 1955 to Jack B. & LaDonna R. (Lee) Walters. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Lima.
Survivors also include 4 children Matthew (Marlie) Walters of Grand Rapids, MI, Elisha (Dan) Isenbarger of Dola, Carrie (Matthew) Huelskamp of Wapakoneta, Amanda (Tom) Geraghty of Sylvania, 8 grandchildren Kayla Walters, Austin Miller, Eric Isenbarger, Jayden & Madelynn Hefner, Harper & Maddox Huelskamp, Cody Spencer, 2 brothers Terry Ray (Jenny) Walters of Palm City, FL, Gregory Lee (Rebecca) Walters of Elida and close friend Pam Weihrauch of Lima.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren Jaxon Huelskamp and Anabelle Geraghty.
Jeff attended school at Allen East and graduated from Elida High School in 1974. He was an avid classic car enthusiast and was a member of numerous car clubs. He enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the Lima Eagles #370. He loved spending time with his family but most of all his grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday October 22, 2016 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the James Cancer Hospital, Columbus or St. Rita's Hospice, Lima.
