Jennie L. Baker, 90, formerly of Wapakoneta and Bellefontaine, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at The Springs of Lima.

She was born on August 7, 1934 in Madison Township, Clark County, Ohio, to Bracey and Bertha (Roberts) Cron who preceded her in death. In 1952 she married Dallas Klopfenstein who passed away in 1961. She was formerly married to Clarence Cecil who passed away in May of 2025. In 1995 she married Charles R. Baker who preceded her in death and passed away in October of 2022.

Survivors include; a daughter Lorna Springer of Lima; a son Rick (Kaori) Cecil of Columbus; grandchildren Chad King, Philip King, Janet (Springer) Bible, Frances Springer, Randall Springer, Sandra (Springer) Zwiebel, Zinta Cecil, Richard Baker; several step-children, several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Carol Eldridge of Chillicothe and Sylvia Denman of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Toni King, three son-in-laws Steven King, Randy Springer, Mike Krites, siblings Thomas Cron, Harry Cron, Marvin Cron, Juanita Nichols, Colleen McDaniel and a grandson Robert Baker.

Jennie worked for more than 40 years at Superior Tube in Wapakoneta followed by more than 15 years at World Class Plastics in Russells Point. Even though she did not retire until she was 78, she definitely missed being able to go to work every day.

She enjoyed sewing, crafting, playing cards, bingo, auctions, garage sales, Easter egg hunts, Halloween parties, fun practical jokes and spending time with her family. She loved attending activities with her family which often included youth ball games and junior fair shows.

A private family graveside service will be held at Glen Cemetery located in Port Jefferson at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Dayton Children’s Hospital.
