Kenda Kohler

Kenda K. Kohler, 64, of Wapakoneta, Ohio passed away September 26, 2025 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. She was born June 28, 1961 in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Kenneth and Hannah (Egbert) Kohler. Kenda graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 1979 and earned an associates degree in early childhood development from Lima Technical College.

Kenda will be missed by her sister Jona (Jim) Limbert of Wapakoneta; nephew Travis (Christie) Limbert of Columbus and niece Kayla (Paul) Lim of Louisville; great-nieces and nephews Jay, Lexi, and Sam; uncle Tom (Kay) Egbert of Circleville, yorkie poo Atticus Rose, and the godchildren of several dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and teacup poodle Isabella Christine.

Kenda retired as a librarian for the Auglaize County District Library. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and active in the church as Director of the Cherub Choir and on the church council. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Women's Auxiliary #691. She was a lifelong and diehard sports fan, especially Ohio State, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cincinnati Reds. She enjoyed reading, movies, and spending time with family and friends.

Kenda was close with her cousins and especially adored her nieces, nephews, and great-niece and nephews. She was a woman of deep faith with a strong sense of what was right. She advocated for just causes and believed in equality for all people.

Memorial services will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta with Rev. Scott Fetter officiating. Family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery.
