Leona P. Tippie

Leona P. Tippie, 74, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 5:45 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Wapakoneta Manor. She was born on June 26, 1952 in Sidney, to Vernon and Eunice (Chamberlain) Boggs, who have preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sister Julie (Roy) Long, of Wapakoneta; and brother Vernon (Linda) Boggs of Celina.

Leona was preceded in death by her son Lehman Tippie; brother Glenn Boggs; and grandparents Clifford (Laura) Chamberlain and David (Jewel) Boggs.

A 1971 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School, she retired from Koneta Rubber after 40 years of service. Leona loved bowling and was a member of a league. In her free time, she could be found doing puzzles, watching TV or crocheting. Her favorite moments were those spent with family and friends.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2026 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta with Pastor Josh Tissot officiating. Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
