Marie Hegemier

L. Marie Hegemier, 93, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 1:28 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2018 at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.

Marie was born on April 24, 1925 in St. Marys to Orville & Gertrude (Sheaks) Stoner who preceded her in death.  On December 4, 1943 she married Donald E. Hegemier and he passed away on May 15, 2010.

Survivors include 3 children; Carol (Howard) Garber, Steve (Mary) Hegemier both of Wapakoneta, Dennis (Jill) Hegemier of Conroe, TX; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Sue Griner of Paulding.

Marie was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Hegemier; a grandson, Scott Hegemier and 7 siblings.

Marie graduated from Memorial High School. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.  Marie was a strong supporter of her husband and everything that he was involved in.  She especially loved being part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.

Funeral services  will begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta with Rev. Doug Pretorius officiating.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
