Mary C. Blakely

Mary C. Blakely, 74, of Botkins, passed away at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born on September 30, 1944 in Auglaize County to Raymond & Goldie (DeLong) Fisher who preceded her in death.  On April 14, 1990 she married Gary L. Blakely and he survives in Botkins.

Survivors include 5 children; Elaine (Mark) Brugler of Lima, Mark Hecht of Botkins, Matthew (Raquel) Hecht of Jacksonville, NC, Michael (Natalie) Hecht of Sidney, Ann (Mark) Covert of Ridgeway; 7 grandsons, Alan, Zachary, Glen, Dillian, Codie, Justin, Jordan; 5 great-granddaughters that she was referred to as by “MoMo”, Chloe, Sophia, Carlee, Ember, Laynee; 3 sisters, Helen Puthoff, Clare Rose Kite, Ginnie Beckert and sister-in-law Katherine Fisher.

She was preceded in death a brother Art Fisher.

Mary was very active in the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #691.  She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.  She was active in Celebrating Homes as a designer and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday December 7, 2018 at St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Thursday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
