Paul C. Patton, 86, of Wapakoneta passed away 3:09 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 at Wapakoneta Manor.

Paul was born on May 16, 1932 in rural Auglaize County to Robert & Lousetta (Westenbarger) Patton who preceded him in death.  In 1957 he married Mary Ruth Schindler and she passed away on August 16, 1990.

Survivors include two daughters; Lisa Salmons of Wapakoneta, Lora (Jim) Wutrich of Altoona, PA; three grandchildren, Mitchell Bailey, Jimmy Wutrich, Nicole (Brandon) Kolesar and two great-grandsons, James Benline, Maverick Kolesar.

He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

Paul worked for Neon Products and then retired from Lima Corrections.  He was a 50 year member of Rousculp Church of Christ.  He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and The Ohio State University Buckeyes.  Paul was very fond of the waitresses at the Lucky Steer and Bob Evans.  He was veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wapakoneta Manor for the exceptional care that Paul received, as well as Carol and Kayla of the Visiting Angels who provided superb personal care.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta with family friend, Alan LaValle officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Uniopolis with military rites being performed by the V.F.W. Post #8445.  Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Dayton Honor Flight or Auglaize County Council on Aging.
