Robert Hamill Sr.

Robert A. Hamill Sr., 77, of Lima, passed away at 2:38 p.m., Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's.

He was born on April 4, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Helen (Sausser) Hamill who preceded him in death.

Survivors include 2 children Sherry Hamill of Chicago, IL, Robb (Amber) Hamill of Wapakoneta; 3 granddaughters Abbie, Allie, Annalee Hamill; as well as numerous friends.

Robb proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1967-1969 in the 3rd BN Recon during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking and playing his bass guitar. He was also a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a dog lover.

Burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia with full military honors.
