Ronnie Lee Barnt

Ronnie Lee Barnt, 69, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Lima, OH. Born on September 6, 1955, Ron led a life marked by a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a spirit of independence. Known for his carefree attitude and ability to see the positive in every situation, he transformed from a youthful troublemaker into a kind-hearted grandfather who cherished his later years surrounded by loved ones.

Ron is survived by his brother Donnie Barnt who resides in Greenville; daughters Brittany Bower, Cheyenne (Josh) Claybaugh, Dena (Joe) Huff, Carla (Joe) Meeker, and Sherri Allen; sons Ethan Barnt and Dakota Barnt; along with many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Barnt, mother Doris (Seals) Barnt, brother Chuck Bailey, and grandson Caleb Huff.

Throughout his life, Ron was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and metal detecting. Retirement allowed him more time to pursue his passions, which included shooting, assembling puzzles, hosting family cookouts, painting outdoor scenes, and building various projects. Ron also discovered a love for playing the guitar later in life, often performing small shows for his family during holidays and gatherings.

Ron wished to be cremated, and plans for a small memorial service for family and friends will be announced in the future.
