Rosella M. "Sally" Naseman

Rosella M. "Sally" Naseman, 95, went to be with the Lord at 4:58 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026.

She was born on June 23, 1931 in Rhine, Ohio, to Peter and Alvina (Greve) Steinke who preceded her in death. On August 9, 1950, she married Karl Naseman, who passed away in 2014.

Survivors include 7 children; Steve (Theresa) Naseman of Swanders, Tom (Kate) Naseman of New Knoxville, Urban Naseman of Sidney, Dave (Linda) Naseman of Anna, Karla (Carl) Doseck of Botkins, Kathy (Jim) Cooper of Marysville, Nick (Angie) Naseman of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving are her brothers Bernard "Shorty" Steinke, Moore Haven, Florida, Jim (Beatrice) Schaub, Lakeview, and Paul (Sue) Schaub, Jackson Center and brother-in-law Urban Schneider, Wapakoneta. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 20+ great-grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Michael Joseph Naseman, daughter and son-in-law Karen and Alvin Seigel, step-father, Franklin Schaub and sisters and brothers, Sylvester "Dutch" (Luella) Steinke, Ursula (Emil) Wachauf, Ruberta (Elmo) Hemmert, Sylvia Schneider, Frank Schaub, Jr., Dan (Connie) Schaub and Dave Schaub and sister-in-law Audrey Steinke.

Sally attended Rhine school until 7th grade and then went to Botkins High School, participating in cheerleading and graduating as valedictorian in 1949. Growing up, Sally enjoyed the outdoors more than housework. She learned to garden and sew in 4-H, eventually becoming the advisor. She was a teacher's aide at Botkins High School and worked many years at the Chalet Inn in Wapakoneta. She enjoyed being a religion teacher and advisor for the Catholic Youth Organization for St. Lawrence, Rhine. Sally's biggest accomplishment was being part of the founding group that created the Shelby County Right to Life in 1974. Sally grew flowers in her and Karl's huge garden for the altar at St. Lawrence. They harvested rhubarb and pumpkin blossoms and sold them for many years at the Farmer's Market in Sidney. She loved to cut squares and sew blankets for the poor. She was a member of Shelby County Right to Life and St. Lawrence Ladies Sodality where she held many offices.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at St. Lawrence Church, Rhine with Father Ethan Hoying officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Elizabeth New Life Center, Sidney.
