Susan P. Cole

Susan P. Cole, 88, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 2:27 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Heritage Manor, Minster.

She was born on January 31, 1938 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Charles & Genevieve Huebner, who preceded her in death. On September 11, 1955 she married Donald E. "Don" Cole, who passed away on September 6, 2014.

Survivors include two daughters, Betsy & Mike Kitta and Julie & Curt Salmons; five grandchildren, Josh (Michelle) Cole, Casey (Brandon) Owsley, Coran Kitta, Seth (Megan) Salmons and Donald Jeffery Salmons; six great-grandchildren, BillyDean Jo Cole, Isabella Salmons, MacKenzie Salmons, Hayden James Salmons, Miracle Salmons, Reese Salmons; a sister, Aileen (Patrick) Merricle; brother John (Jenny) Huebner; and sister-in-law, Sherry Huebner.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; and four siblings, Charles R. "Butch" Huebner, Donnie Huebner, Charleen (David) Zeigler and Amy Huebner.

Susan loved spending time bowling and camping when the weather was nice. In her free time she worked crossword puzzles and word searches. You could often find her out shopping or eating at a restaurant. Above all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Services will begin at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with Pastor Melodi Hagen officiating. A time of gathering for family and friends will take place from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Wilson Health Hospice Care.
