Susan Marie Hawson

Susan Marie (Teeters) Hawson, 55, of Dayton, passed away at 8:37 a.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born on June 20, 1970 in Lima, Ohio to Joseph G. and Paula G. (Minaugh) Teeters Jr., who have preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, GraceAnne Elisabeth Hawson, of Dayton.

Susan was preceded in death by her brother, Brian P. Teeters.

Susan was a prolific vocalist and performer for 20+ years and touched the lives of everyone she knew. She had a big personality, a strong will, and worked hard to provide for her only daughter. After graduating from Wapakoneta High School in 1988, in early adulthood, Susan was a vocalist and performer on staff at Busch Gardens in Florida, Bearcreek Farms in Indiana, and Holiday On Ice in Europe. She went on to be an administrative assistant at the Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce for several years, eventually following her daughter to Dayton after she graduated high school. Susan worked at Premier Health Network in the social work department in Dayton. Throughout this time, she sang in a classic rock cover band, a traveling church band, and was on the praise team at several churches. She loved cats, music, pop culture, and continued to be a present member in her communities everywhere she went.

Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Rosario Picardo officiating. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Susan's honor to her daughter GraceAnne Hawson.
