Obituary
Alan W. Herriott, 65, of Wapakoneta passed away at 12:07 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
He was born on May 5, 1956 to Kenneth & Ruth (Morris) Herriott in Lafayette, IN. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in New Bremen. On July 4, 2003 he married Cheryl Elchert and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include a daughter Alisha (Andy) Reaman of Lima; a son Nick (Jenny) Herriott of Wapakoneta; 4 step-children Faye (Scott) Ferenczi of Uniopolis, Misty (Eric Weisbauer) Weber of Hilliard, Brian (Kory) Weber of Piqua, Brandon (Amy) Weber of Cridersville; 4 grandchildren Lauren (Kyle) Crowe, Lawson Reaman, Dylan Copeland, Sophia Herriott; 7 step-grandchildren Cameron, Justin, Drew, Dylan, Mila, Madysen, Gavin; a great-granddaughter Kendall Crowe; siblings Roger (Marcia) Herriott, Peg (Joe) Gerstner, Karen (Dave) Williams, Brian (Mary) Herriott.
Alan was a 1974 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School. He retired from Slagle Mechanical Contractors, Sidney. He enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle and spending time, at the V.F.W.
Family and friends may visit from 3-5 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the V.F.W. Post 8445.
