Constance R. "Becky" Metzger

Constance R. "Becky" Metzger, 79, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 10:14 a.m., Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Otterbein, Cridersville.
She was born on September 6, 1943 in Lima, OH to Fred and Connie (Courtney) Slusher who preceded her in death.  On September 16, 1961 she married Denny Metzger and he survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include 3 children Scott Metzger, Laurie (Jerry) Bowersock both of Wapakoneta, Chad (Mary) Metzger of Delaware; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister Mary Courtney and a brother John (Karen) Slusher.
She was preceded in death by a sister Susie Wood and a twin brother Mike Slusher.
Becky was a 1961 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She attended Lima Technical College where she received her R.N. and then Ashland University and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  She retired from St. Rita's Medical Center Coronary Care after 35 years as a nurse and case manager.  She was a very active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Being a devoted care giver, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening and being outdoors and going on walks.    
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Willig officiating.  Burial will follow St. Joseph Cemetery.  Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
