Damien J. "Foxy" Foxhoven

Damien J. "Foxy" Foxhoven, 85, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 1:23 a.m., Thursday, February 24, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on February 5, 1937 in Crofton, NE to Henry and Veronica (Feldhacker) Foxhoven who preceded him in death.  On November 1, 1958 he married Vivian C. Olson and she passed away on January 19, 2017.

Survivors include 4 children Victoria K. "Vicki" (Robbie) Douglas of Wapakoneta, LaMont D. "Monte" Foxhoven of Wapakoneta, Gregory J. "Greg" (Marilyn) Foxhoven of St. Marys, Penelope S. "Penny" (Michael) Etzkorn of Wapakoneta; 11 grandchildren Jessica (Jim) Dulebohn, Justin (Cassie) Douglas, Jennifer (Jason) Reed, Joshua (Carleigh) Foxhoven, Brandon Foxhoven, Alisa Foxhoven, Jacob (Erin) Foxhoven, John Foxhoven, A.J. (Taylor) Etzkorn, Elijah (Jammison Lafferty) Etzkorn, Garrett Etzkorn; 15 great-grandchildren Gabby, Austin, Amber, Dustin, Hunter, Connor, Bailey, Benjamin, Mikey, Blake, Jensen, Tucker, Brixton, Brynlee, Gentry; a brother Joseph Foxhoven; 4 sister Angeline Ryan, Beatrice Poppe, JoAnn Poppe, Darlene (Konrad) Maibaum.  

Damien was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Laura Veronica Foxhoven; brothers and sister, Gerald Foxhoven, Henry Foxhoven, Danny Foxhoven, Art Foxhoven, Roseline Gubbels. 

Damien proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1958.  He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Football. He also enjoyed sitting on his front porch “watching over the neighborhood.” 

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating.  Military rites will be performed by the V.F.W. Post 8445.  Burial will be at a later at St. Thomas Cemetery, Glynwood.

Family and friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
