Darrell L. Morrison

Darrell L. Morrison, 71, of Elida passed away at 10:42 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.  He was born on January 29, 1950 to Richard L. & Shirley (Fairburn) Morrison who preceded him in death.

Darrell was a 1968 graduate of Shawnee High School and had worked for Foltz Lumber Company, Home Juice Truck Company and retired from Windham Mountain Ski Lodge in Windham, NY.  He was very popular and was always the life of the party. 

Survivors include a sister Marilyn (Larry) James of Wapakoneta, a brother Stephen (Connie) Morrison of Fairborn; two nieces Tammy (Dan) DeLong of Wapakoneta, Stephanie (Brian) Birch of Huber Heights; five great-nieces Kortnie James of Florence, KY, Abigail DeLong of Ada, Emma DeLong of Wapakoneta, Alexia James of Lima, Kiera Morrison of Kettering; a great-nephew Nicolas (Melissa Hothem) Walker of Fresno, OH.

He was preceded in death by two nephews Tod James of Wapakoneta and Shawn Morrison of Fairborn.

Per Darrell’s wishes there will be no public services.  His cremated remains will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
