Dava M. Gerstner

Dava M. Gerstner, 67, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 9:35 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 at Lima Memorial Health System.

She was born on August 14, 1954 in Schenectady, NY to Everette and Pauline (Lawyer) Foland who preceded her in death. On November 28, 1980 she married Michael B. Gerstner Sr. who passed away on August 4, 2019.

Survivors include 4 children Chad McCoy, Bobbi Jo (Robert) Briggs, Danielle Gerstner, Michael B. Gerstner Jr.; 3 grandchildren James McCoy, Andrew Briggs, Phoebe Briggs; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings Steven (Kim) Foland, David (Sally) Foland, Brenda Foland Mallia, Barbara (Roland) Hirst.

While in high school Dava attended and graduated from the BOCES beauty academy program. She had worked at Fisher Cheese, Superior Metal and American Trim.  She was a farm wife always working beside her husband.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and helping at the Auglaize County Cattleman's Association food booth during fair.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta with Rev. Nathan Tucker officiating.  Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Fryburg.  Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
