Deb L. VanHoose

Deb L. VanHoose, 58, of Lima, passed away peacefully at her home with her loved ones by her side at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on June 27, 1963 in Lima, OH to Denny Sheets and Sharon (Stump) McCullough.  Her mother preceded her in death and her father survives in Tennessee.

She is survived by her children Jessica VanHoose of Lima, Larry (Megan) VanHoose of Ada; 2 granddaughters Kaycee and Kenzie VanHoose both of Ada; her boyfriend Gordon Humes of Lima; a brother Ron (Irene) Sheets of Wapakoneta; two sisters Diana (Brad) Hicks of Wapakoneta, Krissy (James Ray) Otwell of New Knoxville; many nieces and nephews and her cat, Mittens.

She was preceded in death by her step-father Larry McCullough; aunt and uncle Janet (Dave) Terry; maternal grandparents Lee (Ann) Stump; paternal grandparents Pud (Martha) Sheets.

Deb attended Botkins High School and she dedicated her life to her handicap daughter and working with the handicap.  She was also an employee at Marimor Industries.  She enjoyed riding the Harley-Davidson with Gordon and The Rolling Thunder and she loved helping Veterans. 

Private family services will be held at a later date.

The VanHoose family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta to handle the arrangements.
