Donald C. "Don" Stahler Jr.

Donald C. "Don"  Stahler Jr., 85, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 11:49 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on December 3, 1936 in Lima, to Donald & Ruth (Lentz) Stahler Sr. who preceded him in death.  On April 4, 1980 he married Cheryl Ann Shelby and she survives.

Survivors include a 2 sons Douglas (Kelly) Stahler of Wapakoneta, Daniel Stahler of KY; a step-son Bryan (Allison) Dupes of Buckland; a step-daughter Jolynda (Kevin) Myers of Wapakoneta; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son David Stahler and 2 sisters Norma Fox and Vivian Cunningham.

Donald was a 1955 graduate of Blume High School and then went on to join his father in Stahler Trucking and Leasing becoming the owner in 1980 and still operational today after 52 years of service.  He was a member of numerous clubs and organizations where he was a generous donor.  Don was an entrepreneur who enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, build model airplanes, trail riding and being on the water at the Florida Keys where he dove for lobsters.  He was also a car and motorcycle enthusiast and owned several airplanes.  He knew no limits. 

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta with Rev. Ron Boyer officiating.  Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Miami County.
