Donald G. "Don" Garee Sr.

Donald G. "Don" Garee Sr., 85, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, passed away at 5:26 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's.
He was born on November 12, 1936 in Licking County, OH to Birdie and Nettie (Evans) Garee who preceded him in death. On September 14, 2002 he married Mary Angela Brennan and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include 4 children, David, Donald Jr., Julie, and Douglas; 6 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Elton & Wendel; 2 sisters, Mary & Lillian, and his first wife Joyce.
Don served in the U.S Air Force from 1954-1955.  He retired as an over the road truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union.  He enjoyed listening to country western music, was a member of the Eagles and The Ancient Order of Druids where he served as past Grand Arch.  
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday August 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Willig officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with military rites being performed by the V.F.W. Post 8445.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Renovation Fund.
