Elizabeth “Betty” Ruth (Loschert) Flaute, 89, of Botkins passed away at 7:05 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born in Logan County, OH on July 16, 1933 to Louis and Clara (Greve) Loschert who preceded her in death. On October 3, 1953 she married Leonard Henry Flaute and he passed away on April 17, 2001.
Survivors include 8 children David Flaute, Robert (Diane) Flaute, Kathleen (Barry) Stewart, Mary Biza, Michael (Janice) Flaute, Patrick Flaute, Linda (John) Larger, Rebecca Flaute; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother Raymond Loschert, a brother Kenny Loschert and a sister Virginia Boyer.
Betty grew up working on her family farm, Loschert Dairy. She was a homemaker and babysitter for all her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, canning and cross stitching. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality. She dearly loved spending time with children and grandchildren and cooking them big meals.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rhine with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Botkins. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
