Ellen L. Wallace

Ellen L. Wallace, 94, of Wapakoneta passed away at 9:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at Vancrest of St. Marys.

She was born on July 25, 1928 in Lima, OH to Russell & Elsie (Kreider) Taylor who preceded her in death.  On January 7, 1946 she married Byron “Moe” Wallace who passed away on January 16, 1999.

She is survived by 3 children Randy (Kathy) Wallace, Candy (Floyd) Check, Jane (Rex) Swink all of Wapakoneta; 9 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; a brother Jim Taylor and a sister Shirley Cross.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Heather Wright; siblings John, Norman, Dick, Jack, Russell Jr. Mary, Betty and Jo Ann.

Ellen had worked at the Alpha Cafe as waitress for over 20 years.  She loved to camp and spend time with her family and grandchildren.  She was loved by all and will be remembered as “Grandma” to everyone.  The family has requested that everyone who attends to please wear bright pink to reflect Ellen’s personality.

Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta with Rev. Josh Tissot officiating.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Moulton.  Family and friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flower memorial contributions may be directed to EverHeart Hospice.
