Eric E. Young

Eric Edward Young, 56, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 7:19 PM, Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's, Lima.  He was born on September 19, 1965 in Lima, to Edward E. and Judith A. (Huelskamp) Young who have preceded him in death.  On September 5, 1992, he married Molly J. Glick, who survives at home with their daughter, Madaline.

Survivors also  include two sisters, Nannette (Joseph) Wahrer, of Fryburg and Stephanie Nuss, of Walterboro, SC; two brothers, Andrew (Pamela) Young, of St. Johns and Patrick Young, of Fryburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Eric was preceded in death by two brother-in-laws, Thomas Wahrer and Tom Nuss.

A 1984 graduate of Wapakoneta High School, Eric had been working in the trucking industry for the past ten years, most recently with Lazer Spot, Lima.  A hard worker, Eric was always more than willing to lend a helping hand.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor and continual jokes.  In his free time, Eric enjoyed racing, vintage automobiles, or just tinkering around on projects.

Eric's wishes were to be cremated.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family for his daughter.  The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services to handle the arrangements.
