Jeffrey T. "Jeff" Smith

Jeffrey T. "Jeff" Smith, 67, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 10:29 p.m., Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on September 8, 1954 in Lima, OH to Joe and Margaret (Huffer) Smith who preceded him in death.  On October 13, 1992 he married Alicia Ambroza and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors include 4 children Corie (Ben) Lange of Cridersville, Erik Keith Green of Wapakoneta, Beth Green of Lima, Miriam Smith of Wapakoneta; 3 grandchildren Mackenzie, Sophia, Axis; siblings Joann (Jerry) Hamel, Jim (Barb) Smith, Janet (Steve) Schuler and several nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by a grandson Bentley Smith and a sister Twyla Smith.

Jeff was a 1972 graduate of Wapakoneta High School.  He retired from truck driving after 40 years with Miller's Textile and G.A. Wintzer and Son and then taught at the Apollo Truck Driving Academy.  He was an avid Buckeyes and Browns fan and enjoyed being around horses especially his Arabian horse, Pharaoh.  He also enjoyed traveling, his favorite destination was Tennessee. 

Family and friends may visit from 3-6 p.m. Thursday June 2, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Burial will be at a later date at Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
