John E. Bruggers

John E. Bruggers, 63, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 2:07 PM, Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's, Lima.

He was born on November 6, 1957 in Cleveland, to Clyde A. and Grace (Lloyd) Bruggers who have preceded him in death. On August 24, 1985, he married Helen R. Spees, who survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors also include his two sons, Clyde Bruggers, of Sidney and Nicholas R. Bruggers, of Wapakoneta; his sister, Marie (Andy) Pach, of Perrysburg; and his brother, Clark (Kathleen) Bruggers, of Yellow Springs.

John was preceded in death by his brother, William Kristen.

A quiet man, John was the backbone of his family.  He loved to spend time golfing and the companionship of labradors.  John was also a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and all of the Cleveland sports teams.

John's family will hold a wake for him at The Barn (17668 E. National Road, Wapakoneta) on Saturday, May 8, 2021, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  His cremated remains will be interred at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton, in a private family ceremony. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Auglaize County Boys Scouts or the Auglaize County Humane Society.
