Koneta "Connie" M. Swink Campbell

Koneta M. "Connie" Swink Campbell, 96, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 5:45 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Wapakoneta Manor.  She was born on July 27, 1925 in Lakeview to Arnold and Virgie Davis Jacobs who have preceded her in death. 

Survivors include two sons, Rex (Jane) Swink, of Wapakoneta and Randy Swink, of The Villages, FL; eight grandchildren, Lea, Lynette, Tara, Tricia, Jessica, Jay, Kelly, and Brian; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister Betty Park Bishop, of Zanesfield; and three step-children, Elaine Sullivan, Vaughn Campbell, and Lori Sprague.

Connie was preceded in death by the father of her children, Roy Swink; her husband, Robert Campbell; two sons, Ronnie and Terry Swink; a daughter-in-law, Lora Bowsher Swink; and her brother, Calvin Jacobs.

Following high school graduation and beginning her family, Connie worked at the Davis Supermarket, which was at the corner of Wood and Middle Streets.  She then worked at ExCello / Airfoil Textron for many years.  During that time she also volunteered as a Cub Scout leader while her boys were young.  She enjoyed sewing and making her house an inviting home, that was always the hangout for her sons and their friends.  Connie loved decorating for the holidays and hosting family gatherings.  This continued as her family grew and her love expanded as grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along.  In her free time she loved working in her flower gardens and completing word puzzles.  She never knew a stranger and also loved the canine companionship of her Jack Russell Terrier for many years.

A Memorial Service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.  Rev. Stephen Ambrose will officiate.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial of her cremated remains will take place in Fairmount Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
