Laurie Barhorst

Laurie Barhorst, 59, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 9:09 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.

She was born on February 5, 1965 in Quebec City, Canada to Ivo and Camille (Frost) Kramer.  Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Cridersville.  On January 14, 1983 she married Randy Barhorst and he survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherri (Justin) Rogers of Sylvania and Jodi (Chris) Wibley of Wapakoneta; ten grandchildren, Kaiden, Keegan, Kayleigh, Blaine, Ian, Calli, Gavin, Carmin, Korbin, Mack; three siblings, Tony (Cathy) Kramer, Kris (Lynn) Gerstner, and Kelly (Jerry) Krebs; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Darlene (Terry) Lampert, Karen (Rick) Ramey, Susan Scott, Brian (Jessica) Barhorst; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Clarence & Shirley Barhorst.

A 1983 graduate of Wapakoneta High School, Laurie retired from NKP of Sidney after 17 years.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles and had ridden through 46 states.  Laurie dearly loved her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.  She especially loved her fur babies, Vinnie and Bliss. 

Friends may call from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  The family requests those in attendance to wear casual attire. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Down For The Ride, a motorcycle ride-based fundraiser, with the goal of raising funds for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo.
