Lavada “Pauline” Reed, 98, of Wapakoneta passed away at 11:54 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Meadows of Delphos.
She was born in Santa Fe, OH on June 4, 1921 to Don & Dorothy (Barthauer) Wade who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter Donna Jo Miller of IN; 4 grandchildren Dan (Pam) Reed of Celina, Jackie (Brian) Ault of Ft. Jennings, Cliff (Terri) Roberts of Waynesfield, Teresa (Barry) Hardin of Roundhead; 9 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and a nephew Don (Patty) Luke of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law Lois Jean “Pinky” (Rev. Clifton) Roberts; a grandson David Lee Reed; a sister Maxine Luke and a son-in-law Bill Miller.
Pauline was a graduate of Lima Central High School. She then worked as a civilian contractor with the U.S. Air Force as a secretary. She was a devout Christian and was a member of Bethlehem Tabernacle, Lima. She loved her cats, birds and doing puzzles and was also a very well known resident of Wapakoneta. After raising her own children she then devoted her life to raising her grandchildren; David, Dan and Jackie.
Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday January 22, 2020 at Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield.
