Linda S. (Burden) Stolzenburg

Linda S. Stolzenburg, 75, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 12:15 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Otterbein SeniorLife Community, Cridersville.  She was born on July 24, 1948, in Lima, to Eugene H. & Irene L. (Wallace) Burden, who have preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her three daughters, Lorri A. (Joe Holtzapple) Hines, of Uniopolis, Christina M. (Craig) Eisert, of Wapakoneta, and Jackie L. (Rick) Schoenlein, of St. Marys; 6 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Joyce Sims, of Wapakoneta; and her canine companion, Chewy.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott A. Tanner; two great-grandchildren, Anna and Xavier; brother, James Burden; two sisters, Gloria Rowe and Debra Rostorfer; and longtime partner, Albert "Frank" King.

A graduate of Wapakoneta High School, she received her nursing degree from Rhoades State.  For over thirty years, she worked as a registered nurse at local nursing homes and home health agencies.  When she wasn't working, she could be found at Brands Lake or the Wapakoneta Eagles, Aerie 691, where she was a member.  An avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes football, Linda also enjoyed supporting the Wapakoneta wrestling and football programs.  She loved baking cakes for her family and friends.  

A Graveside Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Greenlawn Cemetery.  Please join the family in wearing OSU or Wapakoneta athletics attire.  Pastor Gary Bragg will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Oncology Department at Dayton Children's Hospital.  The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services to handle the arrangements.
