Marie L. Brown

Marie L. Brown, 72, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 12:13 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System.

She was born on February 27, 1949 in Lima, OH to Ferdinand and Dorothy Brown who preceded her in death. On May 25, 1984 she married Larry J. Brown and he passed away on March 29, 2005.

Survivors include a son Paul (Amy) Heitger; 4 step-children Ginger Young, Molly Brown, David Brown, John Brown; a brother Tom (Tammy) Brown; numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Eugene (Pam) Brown.

Marie was a 1967 graduate of St. Joseph High School.  She worked at Reliable Motors, Cotner's Hardware and Honda of Anna.  She enjoyed traveling with friends and going to Texas Roadhouse.  She especially loved her dog, cat and birds.  She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg. Marie was an avid bowler and played in many leagues at Astro Lanes.  She was good enough to qualify for and play in national tournaments where she placed in the standings.  For many years, Astro Lanes was a second home for her.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. John Catholic Church, Capital Improvement Fund.
