Molly (Cartwright) Mays

Molly Mays, 59, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 3:42 PM, Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  She was born on November 1, 1961 in Lima, to James R. and Mary M. (Silver) Cartwright, who have preceded her in death.  On October 22, 1999, she married James A. Mays, who passed away on December 5, 2014.

Survivors include her siblings, Margy B. Behling, of Honolulu, HI, Tim K. Cartwright, of Hubert, NC, Melanie (Mike) Egbert, of Botkins, Mary L. Kennedy, of Botkins, and Peter W. Cartwright, of Sidney; a sister-in-law, Mary M. Cartwright, of Sidney; as well as a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by siblings, R. Joel Cartwright, Muriel R. (Ed) Wharff, Jay D. Cartwright, and Jacob C. Cartwright; and two brother-in-laws, Ken Behling and Tom Kennedy.

Molly will be remembered as a kind, loving person, who was always willing to help anyone.  She was one of the most giving and accepting people you could meet.  A nature and animal lover, Molly was most fond of her horses and cats. 

Molly will be cremated according to her wishes.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
