Rex A. Hartman

Rex A. Hartman, 54, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 6:43 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on November 21, 1967 in Lima, OH to Herbert H. Hartman and Kathleen S. (Briggs) Widmark.  His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors include 2 sons Josh (Taylor) Hartman, Jacob (Nicole) Hartman, both of Wapakoneta; 4 grandchildren Raelynn, Riggs, Nora, Ellie; 3 sisters Terry (Duane) Copeland, Stacie (Brian) Brookhart, Kristy (Jim) Hummer and brother Jason Hartman.

Rex was a 1986 graduate of Wapakoneta High School.  Following graduation he enlisted in U.S. Army from 1986-1989 and was stationed in Germany as a tank operator.  He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed sitting around bonfires with his friends.  He will always be remembered for being able to make anyone laugh even if they didn’t know him.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 20909 Main St., Buckland.
