Richard L. “Dick” Katterhenry, 82, of Wapakoneta passed away at 1:50 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022 at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on January 25, 1940 in Sidney, OH to Merle R. & Thelma B. (Reeder) Katterhenry who preceded him in death. On July 2, 1960 he married Eloise A. Bryan and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors include 2 sons Steven (Teresa) Katterhenry, Bryan Katterhenry both of Sidney; 2 grandchildren Lee (Kirsten) Katterhenry, Lynn (Cody) Callison and a great-granddaughter Ella Louise Katterhenry.

Dick was a 1957 graduate of Sidney High School. He owned and operated Kustom Fab Welding and had lived in the Sidney area until 2006 when they moved to Wapakoneta. He always enjoyed building things especially King Midget Cars. He was a member of The International King Midget Car Club and the Ohio King Midget Car Club where he and Eloise enjoyed traveling to the annual King Midget Jamboree. They also enjoyed boating and camping in their earlier years.

Private family services will be held at Pearl Cemetery, Swanders at a later date.

The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services to handle the arrangements.
