Robert S. Rahrig

Robert S. Rahrig, 64, of Wapakoneta (formerly of Spencerville), passed away the afternoon of June 4, 2023 at his son's residence. He was born on July 1, 1958, in Lima, to Robert N. & Juanita M. (Sakemiller) Rahrig. His father survives in Delphos, his mother preceded him in death.

Survivors also include his children, Steven L. & Laura L. Rahrig, of Wapakoneta and Alisha M. & Bryan K. Frysinger, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Jocelyn, Elizabeth, and Robert; siblings, Roger & Mary Rahrig, Pam & Ron Shook, Mike & Sam Rahrig, and Rodney "Pork" & Norma Rahrig, all of Spencerville; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Ted & Sue Williams, of Wapakoneta.

Bob was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff & Cathy Rahrig; and his faithful canine companion, Ziggy.

Known as "Painter Bob", being colorblind didn't stop him from almost 47 years of painting. He retired from McBride Brothers, Lima, where he spent a majority of his career. When he wasn't painting, Bob enjoyed time outside, whether that was spent fishing, hunting, or camping. A lifelong member, Bob was born into the Brands Lake Fishing Club family. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 330, Wapakoneta.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will take place on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Brands Lake Fishing Club.  Honor Bob's life by enjoying a few moments outside, or by giving something a fresh coat of paint. The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services to handle the arrangements.
