Donald E. Williams

Donald E. Williams, 83, of Wapakoneta passed away at 10:44 am Monday, March 16, 2020 at Mercy Health - St. Rita’s, Lima.  He was born on December 11, 1936, in Houston, Texas to Homa & Annabelle Pyle Williams, who have preceded him in death.  On September 18, 1977, he married Kathy S. Wolrey, who survives in Wapakoneta.  

Survivors also include: daughter, Jandie Lane; son, Michael Williams; three step-sons, Scott, David and Ralph Black; his adopted son, Jacob Williams, at home; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Christenberry, of Conroe, TX; and two sisters, Loretta Keever and Debbie Sarti, both of Crosby, TX.

Don served in the Navy and then was an over-the-road truck driver for Rodeway Express for 30 years.  His hobbies included:  reading, doing crossword puzzles, making furniture, and doing custom picture framing.  Don was a gifted artist in all mediums.  He was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

In keeping with Don’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.  The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or the Auglaize County Humane Society in Don’s memory.
