Kathryn L. "Kate" Meckstroth

Kathryn L. "Kate" Meckstroth, 92, of Wapakoneta, passed away at  5:10 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at The Gardens of Wapakoneta.

She was born on March 11, 1929 in Wapakoneta, OH to Theodore and Helena (Rickert) Erb who preceded her in death. On May 29, 1947 she married Ralph E. Meckstroth and he passed away on November 30, 2003.

Survivors include 4 children Susan (Michael) Elsass of Wapakoneta, Wendy Glick of Wapakoneta, Ed (Jean) Meckstroth of Wapakoneta, Jerry (Lori) Meckstroth of Marysville; 7 grandchildren Matt (Sara) Elsass, Molly (Eric) Young, David Glick, Eric (Lynn) Meckstroth, Jill (Tyler) Steinke, Meghin Meckstroth, Mallory Meckstroth; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Kate was preceded in death by 8 siblings.

Kate was a 1945 graduate of Blume High School.  She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta.  She dearly enjoyed going to garage sales.  Most of all she loved talking to people and traveling. 

Memorial services will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Becky Erb-Strang officiating. Family and friends may call from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
